About MOPRIM

Platform measures all mobility of the individual user and visualizes in various ways distances travelled, the travel times, the carbon footprint produced, and all transport modes used. It also shows all the routes taken and the multi-modal travel chains.

The platform includes a possibility to join different communities and share some part of the mobility data with the community. Communities can be set up for different user groups, organizations and purposes and the shared data can be differentiated. Communities can act as links to external data sources and services and enable data fusion and providing value to the user.

Technology recognizes the mode of transport of an individual user, for example walking, car, bus, metro etc. Currently 16 different modalities are supported. The technology comprises a set of algorithms and is offered to customers as an SDK, that the customer could embed to their existing mobile application. The SDK measures all mobility of the individual user and visualizes in various ways distances travelled, the travel times, the carbon footprint produced, and all transport modes used. Optionally, it also shows all the routes taken and the multi-modal travel chains.

Our target is to able to index all the people’s movement in the world, and use that data for the better wellbeing of people and the big data coming from the people to make their cities smarter for them.

MOPRIM Ltd is a privately-owned company headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. The patented transport mode discovery technology is based on research done at the Computer Science department of the University of Helsinki.
